So what is the Big Brill Camp all about?

A weekend when the community of Brill comes together for a weekend of camping, music and the great outdoors. Raising money for Brill School PTA and the Brill Community Fund.

History

The Big Brill Camp began in 2012 as a fund-raising event for Brill School PTA. Some families camped together for a weekend. The kids went feral, the parents relaxed and we all enjoyed being together in the beautiful countryside with some delicious food and great live music. The Big Brill Camp was born. Its grown a little since then but we keep the numbers down to preserve the atmosphere of that first year. Each of the first five events have sold out and we are raring to go again in 2023.

Ethos/Aims

A celebration of the simple pleasures in life

Get Involved

As a community event we aim to harness the talents and enthusiasm of those who attend the Camp wherever we can. If you would like to volunteer your services to help us plan or run the event, or perhaps run a workshop, then please get in touch. We are hugely grateful to the many people who have already contributed to the success of the Big Brill Camp. In particular we would like to thank Caroline David, Taplins Plant Hire and The Pointer Butchers without whom this event could not be the success that it is.

“Where did this band come from? One of the best new discoveries I made” – Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music

“Every song is an absolute killer” – Dermot O’Leary BBC Radio 2

“Rambunctious folk and joyous elemental pop” – The Guardian

The Shapes
The Shapes are a nine piece band from Oxford UK. They write and play a unique upbeat indie sound that has received wide acclaim in the media. They have been performing up and down the country in venues and festivals for the past 8 years.

Often compared to Van Morrison, Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe, The Shapes deliver catchy melodic tunes that never fail to get you dancing.
